96-06a –This is another Quercus ×leana (Hybrid Oak – Quercus imbricaria × Quercus velutina) is one of the most commonly seen and identified of all eastern North American hybrid oaks. Several specimens can be found at Oak Ridge, and like other hybrids they vary slightly in appearance. Like the previous one, this was propagated in 1994 and planted in the Oak Ridge nursery in 1996 from the old spontaneous specimen in Block 7.
