Tree Description:
.0-076 There are many old white pines (Pinus strobus) in Oak Ridge. Although not native here, this is one of the most adaptable pine species to the climate and soils of central Illinois and it survived while many pine trees of other species died over the past century. If you look around from this spot you can see the characteristic crowns of several of its cohorts.
