Tree Description:
0-108 Sugar maple (Acer saccharum) is very common in Oak Ridge, and always spectacular in the fall. This tree blends nicely with the red maple 0-107 nearby, coloring about the same time with gold foliage complementing the red of the red maple. It can be seen from a long distance away during its color peak and the species is sought in the sugar bush woods for making maple syrup.
