94-06a – Quercus buckleyi (Texas Shumard oak) is a medium-sized oak with spectacular fall color, hardy well north of its native southwestern range. Texas Shumard Oak is also noted for its tolerance of alkaline (e.g. prairie) soil and drought. This lot was grown from seed collected in the wild by the San Antonio Botanical Center.
