Tree Description:
94-07c Ware’s oak (Quercus ×warei) is a cross of the upright pedunculate oak (Quercus robur ‘Fastigiata’) with our native swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor). This was grown from the Riverbank Oak in Petersburg, Illinois, a registered oak cultivar which has produced several other superior upright oak cultivars. The best ones combine the upright form of the European tree with the disease resistance of the American one.
